Point Henry

Located near Geelong, approximately a one hour drive from Melbourne, Pt. Henry marks the boundary between Port Phillip Bay and the smaller Corio Bay. Pt. Henry is a very popular location for windsurfing as there is somewhere to sail in most wind directions. Being a long sand spit, Pt. Henry regularly offers excellent speed sailing or flat water slalom conditions as well as building up a nice swell on more exposed areas for bump and jump in the right winds. This really is a good spot to perfect your carve gybes etc. but please note that you MUST WEAR BOOTIES if you are going to sail here, it is well known for it's sea urchin population!!! The closest windsurfing shop is West Coast Water Sports in Geelong who have a good range of gear available.
